Mercedes-Benz officially presented in Geneva new generation of compact roadster SLK. The third generation model has received many design cues from the familiar High SLS, we find mostly in the front. The rear is dominated by the style and design language of the new CLS.
The new Mercedes-Benz SLK is equipped with a panoramic hard top fold (vario-roof) system Magic Sky Control, we've seen in models of Maybach. The system allows the driver to eclipse the glass of the roof at the touch of a button, without his having to pull fabric hood, for example. The system is available as an optional extra, but its price is around € 2,000.
Under the drop of the third generation Mercedes SLK integrate 3.5-liter V6 with 306 hp the modification SLK350 and 1.8-liter supercharged engine versions for the SLK 200 and SLK 250.
Suspension model is equipped with an Adaptive Damping System and Torque Vectoring Brakes, which adjusts the braking effort exerted on the inner wheel during cornering, resulting in extremely fast performance, compared to previous generations.
The new SLK boasts also a significantly quieter lounge running with lowered ceiling, thanks to the system Airguide windstop, which reduces air flow rate and noise in the cabin.
Roadster Mercedes-Benz SLK is now available in most markets in Europe. Prices in Germany start at € 38,675 for the SLK 200 version BlueEFFICIENCY, from € 44,256.10 for the SLK 250 BlueEFFICIENCY, and € 52,300.50 for the top model SLK 350 BlueEFFICIENCY.
